Strategic intent (the long game):
Research shows that for kids in low socio economic areas, the more positive experiences they are exposed to, the more likely they are to make positive decisions later in life.
That is the primary over-arching intent of the Shoebox Christmas project. A positive, fun experience and opportunity for these kids.
Operationally:
Shoebox Christmas is a volunteer led initiative to get Christmas presents to kids in low decile schools that might not receive presents otherwise.
It’s also a super fun team and community based project to be involved in and a great way to teach your kids about giving. Shoebox Christmas season is my favourite time time of year!
